this plate broke during the bisque and glaze firing. it has been repaired and decorated with the japanese technique of 'kintsugi'.
 
a few notes:
unfortunately, this piece isn't friends with hot foods or the dishwasher. handwash is recommended, and it is still perfect for serving cakes or cheese.
there are marks from the kiln firing on the back of the plate, but it is still 100% functional.
